The Electoral Commission (VVK) announces that all election-related complaints are investigated and the results are sent to the political parties that submitted them.

IEC Deputy Electoral Officer Masego Sheburi addressed all the confusion surrounding the recent panel update for the results of last month’s national and county elections.

The update was made to accurately reflect the regional strength of political parties and ensure fair representation.

The UMkhonto weSizwe party contested the outcome of the national and provincial elections.

Former president Jacob Zuma’s party went to the Electoral Court, where it filed an urgent application to annul the election results.

“The results announced on June 2nd and the places announced have not changed. Meanwhile, what has happened is that for clarity, we have changed the way we project the results to the public, to make it easier to get the results. for those who want to access the results We combined the votes of the party in the regional vote and the votes given to that party in the national vote, because a person only received the result of the People’s Assembly and had to go down and look for the results of the People’s Assembly,” says Sheburi..
