Job Summary:
The Department of Community Safety is seeking to appoint two General Assistants to provide cleaning services and maintain the facilities. The successful candidates will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of offices, floors, walls, windows, and restrooms.
Requirements:
Grade 10 qualification or Level 2-4 ABET level 4 or NQF level 1-3
No experience required
Competence in communication (verbal & written), customer service orientation, integrity, and honesty
Ability to work under pressure
Duties:
Provision of cleaning services
Dusting and waxing office furniture
Sweeping, scrubbing, and waxing floors
Vacuuming and shampooing floors
Cleaning walls, windows, and doors
Emptying waste bins and transporting waste material
Cleaning restrooms and refilling supplies
Reporting and maintaining machines and equipment
