City of Ekurhuleni Water & Sanitation Department is hiring an Artisan Bricklayer 2026. R438K – R601K salary + benefits. Grade 12 + Trade Test required. Closing date: 19 June 2026. 3 years building experience needed.

  • Salary: R 438,804 to R 601,956 per annum + benefits
  • Job Type: Permanent
  • Experience Required: 3 years building environment

Minimum Requirements of Artisan Bricklayer Jobs 2026

  • Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
  • Trade Test Certificate in Building – Compulsory
  • Valid C1 Driver’s license with PrDP
  • Physically fit to perform manual work
  • 3 years experience in building/construction environment

Core Responsibilities

  • Construct or repair structures, manholes and paving as per required standards
  • Restore, clean or paint existing brick, concrete and paving structures
  • Lay bricks and building blocks to construct and repair buildings and walkways
  • Maintain plant, machinery and equipment in good working order
  • Cut and trim bricks using machinery and hand tools
  • Complete work orders within allocated time limits
  • Attend to customer complaints efficiently
