About These Coaching Jobs Opportunity
UKZN Student Services Division – Sports Administration is looking for qualified cricket coaches to lead the Men’s Cricket teams. These Cricket Jobs are responsible for coaching sessions, matches, and player development.
The appointed coach and manager will travel with teams on away fixtures and competitions and assist in recruitment of new players. The goal is to develop players and the team in line with the core goals of the UKZN Cricket Club.

Core Responsibilities
1. Coaching & Training: Conduct coaching sessions and manage team training. Develop technical skills, fitness, and match strategy for UKZN Men’s Cricket teams.
2. Match Management: Coach teams during matches and tournaments. Analyze opposition and prepare game plans. Manage team during away fixtures and competitions.
3. Player Development: Identify, recruit and develop cricket players. Mentor student athletes and support their growth on and off the field.
4. Team Administration: Team Manager to assist with logistics, team sheets, travel arrangements, and communication. Support the Head Coach in all team operations.
5. Club Goals: Ensure team development aligns with UKZN Sports Administration core goals and university sports policies.
Minimum Requirements for Coaching Jobs
- Education: Matric / Grade 12 Certificate
- Head Coach Qualification: Minimum Level 3 Coaching Qualification required
- Team Manager Qualification: Minimum Level 1 Coaching Qualification required
- Experience: Minimum 3 years coaching experience
- Track Record: Proven track record in coaching and team management
- Transport: Must have own transport
Advantageous
- Experience coaching university students
- Experience coaching secondary school 1st team cricket
- Knowledge of university sports leagues and tournaments
