Matric Results – Here’s where to find the 2021 results

The wait is almost over for the matric Class of 2021, who will soon learn their exam results.

This year threw a slight spanner in the works with the Department of Basic Education announcing that it would no longer make the matric results public as per the Protection of Personal Information Act, making the results much less accessible than in previous years.

However, a recent hearing at the Pretoria High Court has deemed the matric results a public matter once again. So, in addition to collecting the results via their schools, matriculants will still be able to find their results published in various sources.

Results release dates

Matric results will be announced on Thursday, 20 January 2022 for government schools, with individual results accessible on Friday, 21 January. For IEB schools, matric results will be released on Wednesday, 19 January 2022.

All provinces to release the results on the same day.
