Position Purpose:

Safeguard Transnet and ICT’s interests and reputation by protecting the organisation’s computer network from internal and external threats.

• Contribute to the effectiveness and efficiency of ICT by proactively monitoring the computer network, implementing proactive mitigating controls to safeguard the organization’s systems.

Position outputs:

• Identifying and investigating security breaches and other security incidents.
• Configuration of monitoring and alerts.
• Performing risk assessments and analysis.
• Responds to and reports on IT security incidents by providing initial assessment of incidents being addressed.
• Provision of technical support including monitoring, reporting and security solutions administration.
• Design, implementation, maintenance and overall life cycle management of the endpoint security systems and tools.
