- Salary: Level 10 per TUT salary scale + benefits
- Requirements: Trade Test Welder + 2yrs experience

Key Performance Areas – Artisan Welder Duties
- Provide effective routine and breakdown plumbing maintenance service at all sites
- Assist in breakdown maintenance of welding and metal fabrication work
- Assist in preventative maintenance schedules for building infrastructure
- Identify and rectify faults on metal structures, gates, burglar bars, steel work
- Maintain reasonable knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act OHS Act
- Read and interpret technical drawings and welding specifications
- Use welding equipment safely including arc, gas, MIG welding machines
- Maintain tools, equipment and workshop in clean safe condition
- Assist other artisans and technical staff when required
- Complete job cards and report completed maintenance work
Minimum Requirements – TUT Artisan Welder 2026
- Qualification: Completed apprenticeship OR Trade Test Certificate in Welding
- Alternative: Certificate issued under section 28 or 30 of Manpower Training Act 1981
- Experience: Minimum 2 years relevant experience as Apprentice Artisan Welder
- Knowledge: Relevant legislation, Company Policies, SHE Regulations, OHS Act
- Skills: Communication, Computer Literacy basic MS Office
- License: Valid driver’s licence compulsory
- Physical: Physical fitness assessment required
- Availability: Required to work after hours and overtime when needed
