ICT Desktop Officer – Government Employees Medical Scheme GEMS
Government Employees Medical Scheme GEMS invites applications for ICT Desktop Officer. Position based at Head Office in Pretoria. Reports to Senior Manager ICT Service Management.
Salary & Benefits
R503 635 per annum – Total remuneration package based on qualifications and experience
Requirements
- National Certificate/Diploma in Information Technology NQF 5 or equivalent
- 1-2 years functional experience working in ICT environment
- Good understanding of Personal Computers, Microsoft applications and technologies
- Experience with diverse range of operating systems and service desk applications
- Good understanding of ITIL Processes
Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensure Service Desk Integrity + maintain IT Service Management Tool
- Log and assign all calls in relation to Incidents and Service Requests
- Provide 1st line support and technical troubleshooting resolutions
- Monitor and analyse service desk records + configuration management database
- Plan work schedules for installations of hardware and software
- Assist in maintenance of IT equipment + maintain asset register
