Key Performance Areas and Responsibilities

Team Leadership and Cash Centre Management

  • Take responsibility for managing performance and development of team
  • Manage Cash Centre in absence of Cash Centre Manager
  • Ensure continuation of efficient cash operations
  • Manage cash operations and ensure compliance with policies and procedures
  • Serve as custodian of business continuity plan in absence of Cash Centre Manager
  • Collate and provide management information to Cash Centre Manager for decision-making

Cash Operations and Banknote Management

Team Leader Cash Supply Chain

  • Manage processes pertaining to cash transactions
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of information integrated with National Cash Management System
  • Manage physical processing and destruction of banknotes
  • Ensure acceptable quality of banknotes in circulation
  • Meet minimum standards for recycling banknotes
  • Establish and manage relationships with stakeholders
  • Ensure availability of banknotes of acceptable quality

Stakeholder Relations and Service Management

Team Leader Cash Supply Chain

  • Enforce service level agreements with users of bulk cash transactions
  • Communicate any changes to affected role players
  • Collaborate with cash industry partners
  • Maintain currency integrity and security standards

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

Team Leader Cash Supply Chain

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree NQF level 7 in Commerce or Supply Chain Management
  • Equivalent qualification accepted: Advanced Diplomas, Post Graduate Certificate, B-Tech
  • Experience: 5-8 years experience in cash environment – Compulsory
  • At least 3 years experience in team leader or supervisory role
  • Knowledge of National Cash Management System
  • Understanding of banknote processing and recycling standards
  • South African citizen or valid work permit

  • Management Support – administrative and coordination functions
  • Currency Integrity – ensure quality and security of banknotes and coin
  • Supply Chain Management – procurement, distribution and logistics of currency
