Job Description
PEP Stores is hiring a Part-Time Sales Assistant in Swartruggens, North West. Join the PEP family as a Dynamo and be part of a culture of growth and development.
This is a permanent part-time position working up to 27 hours per week. Start date: ASAP.
Purpose of Position
As a friendly team player, promote sales and minimise stock losses. Manage inventory and assist customers.Operate cash register and uphold PEP’s low-cost culture to achieve business objectives.PEP nurtures a culture that encourages team members to grow from within with chances for professional development.
Key Responsibilities
Keep store vibe positive and safe by following security and handling procedures.Manage cash register following company rules and keep store tidy and efficient.
Sell products with a smile, suggest additional items and ensure customer happiness.
Handle customer problems, questions and inform them about sales and promotions.Know products, demonstrate features and help customers find what they need.Greet customers as soon as they walk in and offer assistance.
Hit sales goals and stay updated on new products and features.Help with stock orders and set up store displays to look appealing.Receive, organise and manage deliveries. Process payments correctly using cash register.
Requirements
Matric certificate required.Experience as Cashier, Sales Assistant, Retail Assistant or similar role preferred.Must live within 15km from Swartruggens job location.Clear criminal record required.
Position requires honesty when handling cash and finance.Computer literate candidates and passion for retail will be advantageous.Candidates between 20 and 35 years preferred. S
